Obituary of Rena Jean O'Donnell

Rena Jean O’Donnell, 61, a resident of Greenwich, passed away much before her time, on Monday, April 1, 2024, at Saratoga Hospital, with her loved ones at her side. 

She was born March 4, 1963, in Cambridge, NY, to the late Edward and Evelyn (Nolan) O’Donnell.

Rena had a spunky soul with a lot of love for her son and family.  She could often be seen riding her bike through town, stopping at various bench stops along the way.

Rena had a kind personality and enjoyed keeping busy.  She did odd jobs for family and friends, from gardening to painting.  She enjoyed fishing, crossword puzzles, listening to music and traveling to warmer weather in Florida and California.

Rena was an all-around good person, who will be missed by all who knew her. 

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Floyd Nolan, Sydney “Nick” O’Donnell, Edward O’Donnell and Steve O’Donnell.

She is survived by her son, Jason Hockford; daughter, Jeanette Bzduch; siblings, Patricia O’Donnell, Rose O’Donnell, John O’Donnell, Brenda (Joe) Cali and Gary O’Donnell, grandchildren, Jason Jr. and Brian Hockford, Aiden and Luke Smialek; several nieces and nephews included a special bond she shared with Desiree and Jennifer.

Family and friends may call from 3 to 4 pm on Sunday, April 7, 2024, at Flynn Bros, Inc. Funeral Home, 80 Main St, Greenwich, NY, 12834.  A funeral service will follow at 4 pm.
