MY Memory of Ms Henrietta, We lived on College ave And Lived at 2865 Kingsbridge Terrace since 1978 or 79. I Always remember Ms.Henreitta because of the White Hat she always wore I Didn't know her name as a young girl I just know she lived in my childhood friend building at 1120 college ave, Renee Madison. I would see her walking, coming or going. I moved on college ave I was about 5 years old I was about 10 when I noticed the lady with the white hat. We moved uptown and to my surprise Ms.Henrietta lived in the same building. My mother and her became friendly they would stop and talk. My mother did not know Ms. Henrietta until they both lived in th same building. then I course found out that Ms. Henrietta was the great Aunt of my very good friend daughter husband Rob and great great Aunt to Robbie. Ours lives has cross so many times. The last time was back in late February she had just returned from a meeting she said she attended downtown on William's St. In Manhattan. she came through the basement side door and seen my mother and I doing laundry. She stop by and talk with us for about 30 minutes or more. She told us about her being stuck in her car for about 2day she made me a intial of W she told me the w means warrior out of a dollar bill. which I still have. Ms. Henrietta presence was awesome she was a bright light she had the best smile. I enjoyed talking with her. I've moved from 2865 since1994, but I would run into her from time to time visiting my mother I'm now 60years old. I know of this women about a lifetime it seems. This beautiful spirit who was funny can tell a story and at her age she looked great. May the Lord be with you and comfort you in your time of need. My name is Shantell Watson, I am the granddaughter of Harry Ingram (Brother) and Mamie Ingram. I am Belle Ingram’s daughter. I will always remember Henrietta for coming over to visit us, and telling her wonderful stories about growing up. I will especially remember her carrot juice that she would make for me and the family. I would always ask her that when she came back, to bring some more. She was a hard worker and was dedicated to volunteering. Overall, she loved her family. I have peace knowing that she will be reunited with her precious family and the Lord.

So sorry for your loss. I knew Henrietta from St. Luke's. My favorite memory is from the very first time that I had to make announcements after the service. Apparently, I was a little nervous and shy because during the coffee hour, she admonished me for not being joyful enough when I said "Welcome to St Luke's". She showed me how to do it and even added a little hand flourish. I thought of that every time thereafter and tried to sound more joyful and welcoming. Being joyful seemed natural for Henrietta. And she loved to spread that joy. She was one of the few parishioners that came to Astoria to visit our friend Virginia. And she always took Virginia's favorite treat - ice cream. So glad that I got to know her. I am sure that she is still spreading lots of joy in heaven.
